No Dubbing Films After The TheatresReopen!

The theatres in Telugu states are still shutdown as the owners and exhibitors decided to wait for another month or two. Many big and interesting films like ‘RED’, ‘Krack’, ‘Uppena’, ‘Rang De’, ‘Solo Brathuke So Better’ and ‘Vakeel Saab’ are eager to the screens this Sankranti season.

We need to see if the theatres open prior to the Sankranti season or not. News is that the distributors decided to say a strict ‘no’ to dubbing films for at least two months after the theatres reopen. They reportedly decided to give first preference to straight Telugu films which is being appreciated by many.

This may have a huge effect on films like Vijay’s ‘Master’ and Vishal’s ‘Chakra’ which are planning to release in Telugu too. They are big films with big investments. Insiders say that the Telugu market is quite important for them. We need to see how they workout commercially if the dubbing versions don’t get released on big screens.
