Respite for AP govt as SC gives stay on constitutional breach..!

Under the most unusual circumstances that prevailed in the AP, the Supreme Court gave stay on the ongoing High Court hearing on the issue of a constitutional breach in Andhra Pradesh.

The AP government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court saying that the High Court has no jurisdiction to hear the matter of constitutional br each.

The petition was taken into consideration by the Supreme Court and gave stay in the favour of the AP government. The Supreme Court also made some key remarks on the occasion.

The tribunal commented that though the alleged constitutional breach is in place, no constitutional system had been collapsed. The tribunal commented that it did not understand why the judge had issued those orders.

The Supreme Court expressed its impatience over lawyer Siddharth Luthra, who opposed the government’s petition. They asked him whether he had issued such notices any day in his experience of law practice.

Siddartha Luthra asked to be allowed to stand trial, at the least on habeas corpus petitions. Hence, the Supreme Court issued notices to the respondents. The next hearing will be held after the holidays. It is known that several habeas corpus petitions have been filed in the AP alleging that police are illegally arresting several people.
