Brihan mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has filed an official complaint against Sonu Sood, saying he had converted his house in Juhu, Mumbai into a hotel without acquiring necessary permission from concerned authorities. An FIR is yet to be filed though.
After its preliminary investigation, BMC claimed that six-storeyed Shakti Sagar residential building, owned by Sonu Sood was converted into a hotel and is being operated as one now.
In response, Sonu Sood denied all such allegations and stated he had already acquired relevant permissions and is awaiting clearance from Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority(MCZMA).
“I have acquired approval for change of use from BMC. I am waiting for clearance from MCZMA which is still pending. I always follow rules and regulations. If I don’t get relevant permissions, I am ready to convert the building into a residential property again,” he said.
This particular building was used to house Covid warriors during the pandemic.
Sonu Sood is likely to move the high court of Bombay against BMC’s complain
