The debt burden on the state of Andhra Pradesh continues to rise. In the 20 months since YSRCP came to power, it has incurred debts of over Rs 1 lakh crore.
\According to CAG, the country has borrowed Rs 73,000 crore as of November this fiscal. The total debt burden on the state has crossed Rs 3.73 lakh crore.
Opposition parties have accused the Jagan government of pushing the state into a debt trap. Minister Botsa Satyanarayana responded to this.
Speaking to the media in Vijayanagaram, he said that the state government has made debts only for the implementation of various programs for the welfare of the people but not for corruption.
He said the government was sincere about public welfare and are trying to improve the living standards of the people.
