KTR kept the TRS party circles on tenterhooks on the Republic Day. He was not seen anywhere in the republic day functions. He apparently did not attend any function on the day. He did not accompany his father. One expected that he would unfurl the Tricolour at the Telangana Bhavan in his capacity as the party working president.
But, it was left to senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao to hoist the flag at the Telangana Bhavan. KTR was conspicuous by his absence. When KCR hoisted flag at the Pragathi Bhavan, minister Vemula Prasanth Reddy was present, but not KTR. This gave rise to furious speculations in the party circles. He was also not seen at the Public Gardens, where Governor Tamilisai Saundararajan hoisted the National Flag. All other ministers were present, but not KTR. This set off serious debates as to where was KTR. Many speculated that he was out of town.
But, later KTR’s greetings on the Republic day were posted on the Twitter. He also posted a pic of him monitoring some works on the ORR. These photos have shown that KTR was very much in the town. But, why chose not to attend any Republic Day programme is being debated and discussed.
