A Nandi idol at Santhabommali Paleshwara Swamy temple in Palasa was recently erected on the road by unidentified persons. The police have registered a case against the TDP MLA Atchennaidu. Notices were issued to him on Wednesday under Section 41 to attend the hearing.
Achennaidu attended the DSP hearing in the case. Achennaidu went to the Kasibugga police station. Atchennaidu was interrogated by the DSP Shivaram Reddy for about 10 minutes at Kasibugga police station. Police have set up heavy security at the station to prevent any clashes as TDP ranks have been mobilized in support of Achennaidu.
On this occasion, after the interrogation, Achennaidu told the reporters that his name was not mentioned in either the FIR or the remand report but he was called for interrogation. He alleged that the CM Jagan and DGP Gautam Sawang were acting unilaterally. He said the Andhra Pradesh police system was being ridiculed in the country.
