Sabella Srinivas Reddy, the husband of Sabbella Pushpavati, who was contesting as a Gollalagunta Sarpanch candidate, was assassinated by some unidentified persons. He joined TDP from YCP after the State Election Commission announced the panchayat election schedule.
In this context, Telugu Desam Party leaders asked Srinivas Reddy’s wife to nominate for the sarpanch post that was allotted to a general category woman.
YCP leaders threatened to withdraw the nomination in this regard. On the 31st of January, she filed her nomination. His wife had lodged a complaint with the police against three members.
