The recent teaser launch of female oriented film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ starring Alia Bhatt has garnered a lot of attention and is eventually raising many expectations for the film. Veteran director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has intended to show yet again an intense big screen character of Gangubai, played by Alia Bhatt, whose performance has undoubtedly impressed everyone.
After the gossip mongers speculated about Ajay Devgn’s role in the film, it is finally official that Ajay Devgn will be essaying a pivotal role in this soul stirring concept. Gangubai Kathiawadi marks Ajay Devgn and Alia’s first film together. It also celebrates the reunion of Ajay and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after a long hiatus of over two decades.Reportedly, Ajay Devgn will join the grand massive sets of Gangubai Kathiawadi team today i.e 27 February in Mumbai to shoot his portion.
The film is based on the book ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai’ written by S. Hussain Zaidi. Bankrolled by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), this biographic crime drama is gearing up for its release on 30 July this year.
