AP SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar said that it is impossible to conduct ZPTC and MPTC elections in the state as his term would end on March 31 and the next election commissioner would take charge of the election.
With this, AP CM YS Jagan expressed his deep anguish. Ramesh Kumar made it clear that the process of Parishad polls includes a complete four-week period to enforce the model code of conduct.
Jagan held a meeting with the senior officials after Nimmagadda announced his decision. In the meeting, he expressed deep anguish saying that “If the elections are held at the earliest, then the govt could focus on the corona vaccination. But unfortunately, the elections have been postponed”.
