Talented hero Naveen Polishetty’s latest offering ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ turned into a super hit. The film left everyone in splits and people were highly impressed by its heavy dose of entertainment. Considering its budget, the film can be termed a blockbuster in terms of collections it earned. The film was completed a year ago and the makers waited till March to release it in theatres.
Apparently, Amazon Prime Video officials offered 18 crores for this film during the lockdown. News is that they liked the film and planned for an OTT release by offering 18 crores but the makers turned it down and released it in theatres. The Vijayanthi Movies team struck gold with this decision as they earned huge profits with this film.
Amazon lost a huge chance but it is not a complete loss for the OTT platform as it reportedly bought the film for 6 crores now. Basically, it bagged the film for one-third of the money it has offered as the film was released on big screens already. Seems like it’s a win-win situation for both the parties as everyone got what they hoped for.
