In what could be considered as a big shock for team RRR, Alia Bhatt who is playing one of the lead roles in the film has tested positive for Covid-19.
Alia is yet to confirm these reports but multiple reliable sources clearly state she has indeed contracted the virus.
Alia is currently shooting for Gangubai Kathiawadi and incidentally, the director of the film Sanjay Leela Bhansali had also contracted the virus recently.
Even Alia’s boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor had tested positive for the virus very recently and he fully recovered from the same.
Now that Alia tested positive for Covid, the forthcoming schedule of RRR will be delayed at least for a couple of weeks.
The makers of Rajamouli’s magnum opus were planning to shoot Alia’s portion in the next schedule but they will have to alter their plans now.
RRR is slated for release on 13th October and Gangubai Kathiawadi is up for release on 30th July.
