As the situation turned grave in India due to rising cases of covid-19, celebs have started being in the forefront to extend their moral and financial support. The awareness they created in the recent times to the Indians has grown largely.
Sushmita Sen recently took an initiative to send few oxygen cylinders for hospitals in Delhi following an acute shortage. She said it’s heartbreaking to see the patients in risk and asked in twitter for a suggestion on how to transport the same to Delhi hospitals. But a Twitter user criticised her for sending them to Delhi instead of providing it to Mumbai hospitals.
But Sushmita reacted sharply to it and asserted that Mumbai still has oxygen cylinders available, but Delhi needs it, especially the smaller hospitals and urged to help if he can.
Later, she shared to her fans that the the oxygen cylinders were safely distributed to hospital from somewhere else. She wrote, ‘The said hospital has oxygen organised for now!!! It gives us more time to send the cylinders!! Thank you all soooooo much for helping create awareness & support!! deeply grateful!!! Stay good hearted…it suits you.’
