Here’s a good news for the Covid patients! The Central Government has said that a Covid patient can get aditted any hospital in the country. This is really good news as many state administrations are stopping the Covid patients coming from other states. The Central Government said this in an affidavit filed in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has taken up the issue of the handling of Covid suo motu.
In its affidavit, the state government has clearly and categorically said that even those without any formal identity card or even Covid positive report, can get admitted into any hospital. The Centre said that specific instructions were issued to the hospitals not to turn away Covid positive patients. It said all state governments and the hospitals have to comply by these instructions.
The Central government has also said that the state governments have to develop a three-tier infrastructural system to tackle covid. It said that the country has limited doses of Covid vaccine and vaccination cannot be taken up in a single phase.
