SC notices to Telangana in the vote for note case

The Supreme Court has issued notices to the Telangana Government in the sensational vote for note case. Congress MP Revanth Reddy, who is the prime suspect in the case, approached the apex court over cross-examination of witnesses in this case.

In this context, a bench consisting of Justice Gavai and Justice Suryakanta directed the Telangana government to stop the cross-examination of witnesses till the hearing is completed. It adjourned the next hearing and ordered the government to reply within 4 weeks.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a charge sheet in the PMLA special court in Nampally on Thursday, in the vote for note case. Charges have been filed against MP Revanth Reddy, Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkataveeraiah, Sebastian, Uday Simha, Mattaiah Jerusalem and Krishna Kirtan (son of Narender Reddy).

It claimed that Rs. 50 Lakhs was confiscated for allegedly bribing nominated MLA Stephenson, to vote for whomever Revanth Reddy asks him to.
