Nigeria govt ‘indefinitely’ bans Twitter


The Nigeria government has taken a sensational decision. The country has decided to boycott Twitter. The Nigerian government has announced that it is shutting down Twitter across the country. The country’s information ministry said it was banning the Twitter platform. The decision was announced shortly after Nigerian President Mohammed Buhari’s Twitter account has been blocked by Twitter.

Twitter banned Muhammad’s account for violating its rules. Against this backdrop, the country’s government incensed over Twitter as their president’s account was blocked. The decisions that Twitter has been making in recent times have been causing embarrassment to many celebrities. Recently, Twitter removed the blue tick on the account of our Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. However, it corrected the mistake as soon as the criticism erupted.
