Prabhas’s fans are asserting all sorts of pressure on UV Creations, who are bankrolling Radhe Shyam to release new promotional material. But their efforts are going in vein. Barring an occasional update once in a while, UV Creations are not reading much promotional content. As said by our sources close to the unit, the makers of Radhe Shyam are intentionally downplaying Radhe Shyam and they have a very good reason behind it.
Prabhas earned superstardom with Baahubali and he is expected to be seen in larger-than life roles. North Indian audiences want to see the macho actor in action-oriented films. His current image doesn’t quite align with the theme of Radhe Shyam. The film is a pure love story. It is on the lines of Hollywood super hit La La Land, which is an emotional love story.
There is very little scope for action in Radhe Shyam and even the two are three fight sequences in the film are small ones. They gel with the story and do not cater to the galleries who expect adrenaline pumping action. At a time when Prabhas is being seen as a larger-than-life action hero, his upcoming film, Radhe Shyam happens to be a love drama which banks solely on emotions and love drama.
So, UV Creations are said to have decided to downplay Radhe Shyam. They plan to keep a low profile till the film’s release in order to make sure it doesn’t garner sky high expectations. This might help in the way the audiences received the film. The makers want to downplay the buzz on the film so that the viewers will watch the film with their expectations in check. This way, they will enjoy the film the way it is, rather than hoping for adrenaline pumping action. This surely is a strange strategy and UV Creations will be hoping it would work in their favour.
