Venkatesh delivered one of his career best performances in Narappa, a Telugu remake of Dhanush’s Asuran. Narappa premiered on Amazon Prime Video last night and it garnered a positive reception from the audiences.
In his latest interaction, Venkatesh said he is always up for challenging roles.
“When I was working on Chanti many people said that film wouldn’t work and asked me to shelve it midway. In Pavitra Bandham, I fell on Soundarya’s legs. Related posters created a sensation back then. I have always been game for challenging roles and films,” he said.
Venkatesh made these comments in the context of one particular scene in Narappa in which he falls on the legs of several villagers. The fact that a senior hero like Venkatesh acted in such a raw and grounded scene caught the attention of many.
Venkatesh will next be seen in Drushyam 2, which is also gearing up for direct to digital release on Disney + Hotstar. He will soon be resuming shooting for F3. More details about his upcoming projects will be out soon.
