TRS Minister KT Rama Rao had requested all of his followers and admirers, both within the party and outside of it, to not spend loads of money for celebrating his birthday. He instead asked them to spend it on those who need money, by helping out the poor and the needy.
KTR also asked those living outside of Hyderabad to not rush to the city for his birthday celebrations and to stay in their hometowns. While KTR continues to make his own requests, it looks like no one is particularly following him.
TRS affiliated television channels like Namasthe Telangana and Telangana Today seem to be accepting advance payments and running ads on the occasion of KTR’s birthday. With TRS affiliated media channels themselves ignoring KTR’s request, it is now to be seen to what extent others will heed his requests and follow them.
