TDP demands YSRCP MPs resignation

The Telugu Desam Party members, along with its Chief Chandrababu Naidu, demanded that the YSRCP MPs should resign from their Rajya Sabha and Parliamentary posts, during the ongoing parliamentary sessions, to put pressure on the Central government, against the Centre’s decision to privatise the Visakha Steel Plant.

Speaking on the issue, former minister and TDP leader Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy said that the TDP members would follow in the footsteps of the YSRCP members if they resigned from their posts. He said that the Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, should take the lead against the Centre’s decision, for the people of VSP, and that the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu would take Jagan’s lead in the matter. Murthy reminded everyone of Jagan’s words before being elected as the CM, where Jagan said that he would bend the necks of the Central leaders if he were given 25 MPs. Murthy said that now is the time for Jagan to take strong action, and prove to everyone who thinks that the YSRCP’s main agenda is to eliminate YSRCP Rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, and not to stand by the people of AP. Murthy said that resigning now, and standing for the people of AP would reinstate the beliefs of the people of AP, about the YSRCP’s responsibility towards the people of the state.

Murthy criticised AP government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy’s comments, where Sajjala said that the TDP members were free to resign to their posts, but that the YSRCP members would not do so. Murthy said that this is the best proof of how responsible and caring the YSRCP is, towards the people of the state. Furthermore, Murthy said that it’s time for the people of AP to ponder over who was a better choice for them, who is the better leader and cares for the state, between the YSRCP and the TDP. It is now to be seen what will happen.
