Konda Polam, a rustic action drama starring Vaishnav Tej and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles is gearing up for theatrical release on the 8th of this month just ahead of the Dussehra season and the makers have started promoting the film now. The makers had organized a pre-release event to publicize the arrival of the film. The pre-release event was a private affair and it was graced only by the case and crew of Konda Polam. There were no special guests, like we usually see.
Speaking at the pre-release event, Krish Jagarlamudi, who is helming the project revealed that this film wouldn’t have materialized if it wasn’t for Pawan Kalyan. “Pawan Kalyan garu and I are collaborating for Hari Hara Veera Mallu which is a high budget project. But due to the Covid situation, we had to halt the shoot indefinitely. In the meanwhile, I developed the Konda Poal subject and approached Vaishna Tej with the same. He readily came on board for the project and everything looked set. But I was a bit sceptical about asking Pawan if it would be okay if I worked on another project while Hari Hara Veera Mallu was under production. But much to my surprise and moreover, delight Pawan readily obliged to my request. We then started with the pre-production of Konda Polam and shot the film at a rapid pace,” Krish pointed out.
Adding further, Krish said Pawan didn’t even know that his nephew Vaishnav was the one playing the male lead in Konda Polam but he really obliged to permit him to work on the project. “If Pawan Kalyan would have said no, there wouldn’t have been Konda Polam,” Krish commented.
As for Pawan Kalyan and Krish’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the project is around halfway through the shoot. The filming will resume soon after Pawan Kalyan completes shooting for Bheemla Nayak which is nearing completion. Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a big budget action drama with a periodic touch. The film is being mounted on a massive scale and it is the costliest project in Pawan Kalyan’s career.
