Vaishnav Tej’s interview ahead of Konda Polam release

Panja Vaishnav Tej and Rakul Preet Singh starrer Konda Polam is slated to release in cinemas on 8 October. Directed by Krish, the film tells the story of Nallamala forest-based shepherds. Ahead of the release, the Uppena hero interacted with the media and shared his journey along with the movie team.

“Konda Polam is a new concept that I never heard. I like director Krish’s taking and his filmmaking skills. As the film is included with fictional characters like tigers, I attracted towards the story and gave my nod for this project,” Tej said.

“I felt very happy when Krish approached me with the script. This is a message-oriented film with commercial aspects,” the actor informed.

When asked whether he had taken any inputs from the actors of his family, Vaishnav said that he feels shy to ask them as they are already established in the industry. He also informed that the film started with Pawan Kalyan permitting Krish to do this project ahead of Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

“Although we found it difficult to participate in the shoot amid pandemic time, we later get used to the surrounding situations. The film is very inspiring as it shows the life of a shepherd, who starts with nothing and becomes an IFS officer with the help of his experience in the forest,” he revealed.

“Doing this role is challenging, but I gave what the director wanted from me. I worked on a particular dialect in this film. By doing a film with an experienced filmmaker and cast, I learned many things. I felt blessed to work with them,” Vaishnav added.

“We initially found it difficult to control the sheep, but later we learned a trick to draw them to us. Tiger sequence was also a bit tough for me, but I pulled it off with the instructions of Krish,” he further added.
