Cases of sexual abuse of young children have become increasingly common in recent times. Celebrities are no strangers to such things. Bollywood actress Neena Gupta has recently revealed that she was sexually molested as a child.
Neena Gupta, who has been critically acclaimed with films like Trikaal, Mandi and Utsav, recently released an autobiography titled ‘Sach Kahun Toh’. It discusses many personal and professional issues.
In the book, the 62-year-old actress recounted being molested by a doctor and a tailor. Ms Gupta said she was scared stiff but opted not to tell her mother for fear that she would be told it was her fault.
“I went to the doctor with my brother for treatment for an eye infection. He told my brother to stay in the waiting room and started checking my eyes. The doc started laying his hand on the other parts after a while,” she said.
Sharing an account of her visit to the tailor, the veteran actress said that he got too handsy while taking her measurements. She also said that she has had many such experiences with her friends.
