The wedding season is just around the corner and there have been lots of confirmations and rumours floating around in Bollywood. ETimes has confirmed to you the matrimonial news from Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal as well as Rajkummar Rao-Patrelekhaa. But this time, we bring you a less celebratory news break. It was speculated a few days ago that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt would get married this year. But, a source close to the couple has revealed to ETimes that Ranbir-Alia are very much looking forward to exchanging vows, but that’s not going to happen this year.
The source told us, “Alia and Ranbir have grand plans for their wedding and that’s why they are not going to rush into it. They have been planning their big day for a long time, and it’s probably going to take more time.” While the source did not confirm when the big day could be, there was a clear indicator that it will happen in 2022 and not 2021. So, Ranbir-Alia will not be tying the knot this year and definitely not in December.
There were reports on news portals recently that speculated if Ranbir-Alia would tie the knot in December this year. The conjecture was that both Ranbir and Alia had kept their work calendar empty till January, with Ranbir pushing the shooting schedule of ‘Animal’ and Alia choosing to promote ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ in January as well. Since both actors have reportedly chosen not to stay occupied during November and December, everyone thought it would be for a December wedding.
But, as the source has revealed to ETimes, that’s not going to happen this year. So all eyes will be on 2022 and we’re sure there will be a super destination wedding in the offing. Watch this space for more.
