Chandrababu Naidu is now jittery about the outcome of the Kuppam municipal elections, which would be held in the second week of November. Till now, Chandrababu has dismissed the negative results of ZPTC and MPTC elections as non-elections as the TDP did not officially contest them. But, it was clear that the YSRCP had a significant edge in the Kuppam constituency. But now, he cannot say the same thing for Kuppam municipality.
Hence, he has already started the election campaign even before the notification was issued. He has campaigned for the TDP on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. He toured every street and bylane in Kuppam to campaign for the party.
Though the TDP has managed to gather crowds for Friday. But by Friday, things got worse and the party leaders could not gather crowds. On Saturday and the crowd thinned further. The TDP leaders reportedly sent SMSs and whatsapp messages asking the party supporters to gather in good number as there was a likelihood of YSRCP ‘goons’ attacking Chandrababu.
Due to the thin crowds, Chandrababu Naidu had to delay his tour by going slow in the rural areas.The locals say that Chandrababu Naidu was going even to non-descript villages that he had never visited. He is said to be visiting even small lanes and bylanes to woo the voters.
