Why did Balayya Babu not join the TDP protests?

At a time when even those who have been dormant and inactive, went ballistic on the issue of YSRCP attacks on the TDP offices, one TDP biggie preferred to remain silent. He did not join the protests. He did not even issue a statement. The man who stayed silent amidst the tumult is Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna. But why was he silent?

Balayya Babu was not seen in the protest programmes that the TDP organised. Even when the Hindupur office was attacked, Balayya Babu did not respond. He did not issue even a single statement. Instead, he was busy with the film shoots and the chat shows. Sources close to Balayya Babu say that he is not interested in politics anymore.

Sources say that Balayya Babu is unhappy that he is not getting his due in politics. He is upset that the importance is being given only to Chandrababu and Lokesh Babu. Sources say that he is unhappy at being sidelined. Sources close to him say that Balayya Babu is disappointed with the lack of importance for him in the party.

When he had won in 2014, Balayya was not given any role. Then it was said that three posts for one family would sent wrong signals. In the 2019 elections, Balayya Babu is only one of the three TDP MLAs to have won from the Rayalaseema region. Payyavula, who is also one of the three TDP MLAs from Rayalaseema is public affairs committee chairperson. Chandrababu is party chief. But Balayya seems to be the only one without any position of power. Due to this, Balayya Babu is keeping a low profile.
