Reports made rounds for quite some time in Tollywood that South actress Samantha is making her Bollywood debut soon. The ‘Shaakuntalam’ actress, who was well-received for her role in the Hindi web series ‘The Family Man 2, is now reportedly planning to get into the Hindi feature films as well.
As per the latest reports, Samantha has been approached to play the leading lady in a Bollywood film that will be funded by none other than actress Taapsee Pannu.
By now, Taapsee has also started a production house named ‘Outsiders Films’ early this year. It is reported that Samantha had back-to-back discussions with Taapsee for a movie under her new banner.
Taapsee’s debut production film titled ‘Blurr’ has reportedly completed its shoot and is currently undergoing its post-production process. The film is being directed by Ajay Bahl of ‘Section 375’ fame.
Samantha is awaiting the release of Gunasekhar’s Shaakuntalam’ and a Tamil film, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. The film is being directed by Vignesh Shivan. Samantha has also signed a bi-lingual project for Dream Warrior Pictures which will kickstart its shoot soon.
