The ruling TRS is now licking its Huzurabad electoral wounds. It feels that there was a lot of cross-voting in Huzurabad. It strongly feels that several of the TRS leaders at the ground level had secretly worked for Eatala Rajender. The TRS has now reportedly pressed into service intel sleuths to identify those who have backstabbed the party.
The party reportedly is busy studying the voting trends in every village. It is shocked at the reverses it has suffered in Veenavanka and Huzurabad mandals, which are considered to be the TRS strongholds. The TRS hoped that it would get a majority in these two mandals. But, when the votes were counted, all these supposed TRS strongholds went with Eatala. The TRS leadership feels that the grassroots level party leaders have actually helped Eatala due to their old association with him and thus harmed the TRS prospects.
The TRS leadership is mulling action against those who were in the TRS, but have actually helped EATala Rajender. The party has already readied up a list of such leaders. Further inquiry is being made to confirm the identity of such leaders and then initiate action against them.
The party is serious over the fact that it has lost its citadel. The party has not lost an election so far in Huzurabad. It feels that if these cross-loyalties are not checked, they could spread to other constituencies also.
