When it comes to having strong regional feelings, there is none like Tamilians and Kannadigas in the south. And when a Telugu film is there in Bangalore to promote their film, and the whole team speaks only in English, that too after coming late, what will be their reaction? Here’s what happened at the Bangalore press meet of Pushpa today.
A journalist from ETV has questioned Allu Arjun, actor Dhanunjay and actress Rashmika who were seated on the stage, as to why they are not concerned about the journalists who were waiting for them for hours. “Your team informed that the press meet is scheduled at 11:15, and you have come at 1:15, is it fair? And when anchor Suma spoke only in Telugu at Pushpa event in Hyderabad, how come this anchor (unknown girl) is speaking only in English here with Kannada media?”, the journalist questioned.
After Rashmika translated the Kannada question to Allu Arjun, the Pushpa star said, “Due to fog, my private jet hasn’t taken off at the right time and I don’t know that you’re invited so early for the event. I’m really sorry about this, and I don’t feel wrong or bad to utter an apology”.
Reacting to this, the journo added, “Sir I’m expecting only concern, but not your sorry”.
Back at it, Allu Arjun added, “But I will say sorry and tender my apology because we have come late and you were kept in the waiting. Saying sorry won’t make you down, it will make you grow up as a person”.
Later on, some of the Kannada media folks cornered the Pushpa team if there is any link between the Veerappan story and Pushpa, and as to why Rashmika hasn’t dubbed for the film in Kananda though she is a Kannadiga.
“Pushpa is a fictional creation and has nothing to do with any real incidents. Rashmika hasn’t got time to dub in Kannada as we have shot for the film until Dec 8th, and she has to wrap her Telugu dubbing first” said Allu Arjun, after which the press meet was quickly called off as the Pushpa team is getting ready to take their next flight.
