As a piece of worrisome news for the fans of former Indian Skipper and current Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) chief Sourav Ganguly, the Kolkata Prince visited a medical facility after he was tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, media reports claimed. The News Agency Press Trust of India(PTI) disclosed the news.
Attributing the news to a few sources in the BCCI, the PTI said that Ganguly is not keeping well for a few days and he underwent the Coronavirus tests. After the test reports came back positive, he visited the hospital facility on Monday night.
Though he was admitted to the hospital, Sourav Ganguly’s health condition is said to be fine and he was admitted to the facility going by the doctor’s advice who said that it will be good if he avoids home isolation and admits himself to the hospital. After the news broke out, his fans have been wishing for a speedy recovery.
As a safety precaution, the doctors who are treating Sourav Ganguly at a private hospital had reportedly sent his samples for genome sequencing to see if he came in contact with the Omicron variant and the Delta variant.
Ganguly reportedly contracted the contagious virus days after attending the premiere of a film. At the event, a few members of the ruling TMC and a few others were also present.
Shockingly, this is not the first time Sourav Ganguly was admitted to the hospital this year. Including the fresh hospital admission, the BCCI President got himself admitted to the hospital three times.
In the two earlier times, Sourav Ganguly was admitted to the hospital after he complained of chest discomfort. While he was exercising at his home he had discomfort and was rushed to the hospital by his family members. After examining his condition, the team of doctors performed the right coronary angioplasty on Sourav Ganguly.
The doctors had to perform angioplasty one more time as he had complained of chest pain for one more time. Seeing his condition, the doctors placed two stents.Sourav Ganguly was fully vaccinated as he took the two doses of the anti-Covid virus.
