SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited movie RRR was scheduled to hit the theatres on January 7. However, due to a spike in the number of Covid-19 cases, the release of the film was postponed.
Now, the makers of the most anticipated film announced two dates for the release of RRR. If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theatres open up to operate at full capacity, the movie team is ready to release the film on 18th March 2022. Otherwise, the big-budget action drama will release on 28th April 2022.
“If the pandemic situation in the country gets better and all theatres open up to operate at full capacity, we are ready to release the film on 18th March 2022. Otherwise, RRR Movie will release on 28th April 2022,” the statement read.
Interestingly, one of the release dates given by the makers coincides with “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion”, which opened to a roaring response on April 28, 2017.
RRR, which is touted to be the biggest film of Indian cinema, stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. The film also has Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in key roles. Set in the Pre-Independence era, the film is a fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
