The much-awaited trailer of Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is finally out today. The 3 min 16-sec video features the remarkable transformation of Alia into a powerful leader of Kamathipura.
From being a vulnerable girl, who was forced into the sex trade, the diva eventually rises and becomes a dominating figure in Kamathipura. Besides uttering powerful dialogues with swag and intense emotion, Alia has also pulled off a witty side with ease. Going by trailer, we can assume that Gangubai Kathiawadi will be one of the career best performances of Alia. Vijay Raaz has caught the attention of everyone with stealer acting skills while Ajay Devgn made his presence felt in the trailer.
Gangubai Kathiawadi has been adapted from one of the chapters of noted author Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The film is produced by Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios). The film is all set for a grand release on February 25.
