It appears Telangana CM KCR is fully and finally focusing on the national politics. He has decided to ensure that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is unseated and the BJP is defeated in 2024. He has already begun holding consultations with regional satraps like Sharad Pawar and Mamta Banerjee.
He has also got poll strategist Prashant Kishor to advise and guide him in the national politics. PK, who has established contacts with various regional outfit such as the DMK, JDU, TMC and even NCP. He is already in touch with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in neighbouring AP. So, PK would be able to build links among the anti-BjP forces.
However, what is interesting is that KCR has already formed a national team to help him in negotiating national politics. The team reportedly comprises former IAS, IPS and IFS officials, senior journalists and prominent leaders of the civil society. It is now being believed that KCR wants Harish Rao by his side in the national politics.
Sources say that KCR can achieve two objectives by this move. One – he would have a close confidant by his side. After all, Harish Rao is the trusted lieutenant of KCR. Two – he would ensure that Harish Rao would not stand in the way of KCR becoming the chief minister of Telangana. He is also planning to ensure that daughter Kavitha too is limited to Delhi so that KTR will have an unrestricted run.
