Lokesh to take up Padayatra soon!

Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, has been absent from the political picture for quite some time now, not making a single statement in the past several months. The exact reason for this is not clearly known, but it is being said that Lokesh would be back in the picture pretty soon, with a bang.

It is being strongly speculated that Lokesh is planning a massive padayatra in the state, which is expected to show him in the right light, to the opposition parties, and to the people of Andhra Pradesh as well. He is expected to tour the entire state, beginning with Chandrababu’s home constituency of Kuppam. Padayatras are generally considered to be very lucky for politicians in Andhra Pradesh, as the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy first came to power following his padayatra in the state. Later on, Jagan became the Chief Minister of AP in 2019, after his and his sister, YS Sharmila’s padayatra in the state.

In fact, Nara Chandrababu Naidu himself became the CM of AP in 2014, following his padayatra. While April or May were initially considered, August has been finalised as the climate would be a lot cooler. Given that only 3 or 4 breaks are being considered for this year long padayatra, August is likely to be finalized. It is now to be seen how successful Lokesh’s padayatra will turn out to be.
