Young Rebel Star Prabhas has arrived in theatres on Friday with his emotional love story titled ‘Radhe Shyam’. This pan-Indian film was made on a grand canvas and the entire team decided to stay away from the commercial aspects and narrate the story genuinely. The film is getting a mixed response as the masses are not happy with snail-paced narration and zero elevations for a hero like Prabhas. There are a few who are lauding Prabhas for the risk he took at this point of his career and they are backing the film too.
Apart from that, there is one complaint about the film and it is the look of Prabhas which is quite inconsistent. He looked too handsome in some portions while appearing out of shape in other parts. His hairstyle and makeup are different in different scenes which confused people. Also, there were a few complaints that his face did not look natural in most parts.
There are heavy rumors going around the industry that the makers have spent around 3.5 crores on digitally retouching and correcting the ‘Baahubali’ star. As we know, the makers allotted a lot of budget for this film and it helped the team to rework on Prabhas’ look though it was inconsistent.
As we know, ‘Radhe Shyam’ was in the production stage for over three years. Prabhas couldn’t maintain the same look during that time as he committed himself to other projects like ‘Salaar’, ‘Adipurush’ and ‘Project K’. He is sporting a muscular and fierce look for those films while he is a romantic hero in ‘Radhe Shyam’. These factors too contributed to the inconsistent look of Prabhas throughout the movie. While there is no clarity over the rumor of digital retouching, the news is spreading like wildfire.
Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, this epic love drama has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead named Prerna. Prabhas will be seen as a world-renowned palmist in this movie. This movie is produced under UV Creations, Gopi Krishna Arts and T-Series banners. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor for ‘Radhe Shyam’. Justin Prabhakaran is the music composer for South Indian languages. This is Prabhas’ first romantic film after ‘Darling’ and ‘Mr. Perfect.
