That’s Not What I meant: Director on Twitter Reviews!

Not Just the films, the way the films are reviewed also changed compared to earlier. In the past, newspapers would have dedicated columns for the reviews and later, Television brought a big revolution in this regard. The emergence of social media gave a new face to the reviews.

Now early reviews and first review on social media is the trend. Though it is a profession, there is also an opinion that the early reviews are killing the future of films. Young Tiger NTR once blasted the so-called reviewers and urged them to let the audiences give their opinion.

Now people are talking about the reviews after Sarath Mandava, who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Ramarao on Duty made many heads turn with his take on the Twitter reviews. He came down severely on the fake reviews and said that people will enjoy films if they stop looking at Twitter for reviews.

The director’s comments are receiving a wide range of responses from various corners. A section of people are not happy with what the director said and they feel that the comments made by him are unnecessary and if the film is good enough then the reviews cannot stop the film’s success.

Political experts also feel that what Sarath Mandava said about the Twitter reviews would bring harm to the film and the criticism would affect the film’s performance at the box office.

Amid this, the director played a good move and tried to correct his comments. Changing his tone, Sarath said he has huge respect for reviewers and what he feels is that viewers giving a minute to minute updates on the film while watching it would the experience of others and that is not good.

Ramarao on Duty is helmed by Sarath Mandava, while the action thriller is bankrolled by SLV Cinemas and RT Team Works. Divyansha Kaushik and Rajisha Vijayan are playing the leading ladies in the upcoming film which will be released on the 29th of this month. After a long gap, actor Venu Thottempudi is making a comeback with the Ravi Teja starrer.
