The most routine question every producer asks when a budding filmmaker arrives with a grand story is whether he can handle it or not. They opine that such a big story needs to be directed by an experienced filmmaker. But the young filmmaker who spent months and years perfecting this script in order to make a grand entry as a director cannot agree with this suggestion and wait for the chance to make it himself.
He may lose some offers due to this but it will be worth the risk if the talented fresh director is given a chance. ‘Bimbisara’ director Vassisht is a big example of it. Venu Mallidi alias Vassisht narrated the story of ‘Bimbisara’ to many heroes. This movie was almost locked in for Allu Sirish and it was officially announced too. But due to some differences, this project did not go on floors.
The script went into the hands of Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja. The narration got a positive response here too but it did materialize for some reason. Kalyan Ram, who showed everyone on many occasions that he is not scared of experimentation has finally agreed to the story of ‘Bimbisara’. He trusted the director and spent lavishly on the movie without any compromise. Now, ‘Bimbisara’ turned out to be the biggest success in the ‘Athanokkade’ hero’s career.
Now, the young director is getting a lot of offers and many heroes are ready to work with him. Vassisht is confused due to the number of options he has now. Both Sirish and Ravi Teja who sidelined his projects have faced huge flops in recent times. Wonder what they must be thinking right now!
Produced by NTR Arts banner, Samyuktha Menon and Catherine Tresa are the heroines in this film. Madhiki Vashist is the director of this project. Warina Hussain, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Srinivasa Reddy and others played key roles in this socio-fantasy film. MM Keeravani gave the background music while Chirantan Bhatt composed the songs.
