Talented Director To Reach The 100 Crore Club!


‘Karthikeya 2’ is having an amazing run at the box office. Exceeding everyone’s expectations, the film is getting amazing responses all over the nation. The tight screenplay and interesting proceedings made this film get a positive talk on the first day itself and people are in awe of director Chandoo Mondeti’s brilliant work. He gave a strong comeback after a failure like ‘Savyasachi’ and came up with a thrilling film.

The entire team is ecstatic with the collections. By the end of its second weekend, the film managed to get 70 crores gross from the theatres. This is a huge achievement for a Nikhil and Chandoo Mondeti film. Trade pundits claim that the movie is racing towards 100 crores gross collections and will be able to achieve it by the end of its theatrical run.

Also, the non-theatrical rights of ‘Karthikeya 2’ were sold for around 30 crores which makes the film touch the 100 crore mark already. With this success, Chandoo Mondeti becomes one of the very few young directors to enter the 100-crore club. Barring big names like Rajamouli, Trivikram, Boyapati, Koratala Siva and few others, Chandoo Mondeti is all set to enter this club. The success of ‘Karthikeya 2’ has increased his reputation in the market and it will be interesting to see who becomes the hero of his next flick.

Elite Bollywood actor Anupam Kher will be seen as Dhanvantari while Srinivas Reddy plays the role of Sadananda. Harsha Chemudu’s role is named Suleman while Aditya Menon played the character of Santanu. ‘Karthikeya 2’ is a sequel to ‘Karthikeya’ which came out in 2014. Written and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, ‘Karthikeya 2’ is a mystery thriller. Anupama Parameswaran is the heroine in this film. This movie is produced jointly by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal. Kaala Bhairava is the music composer. Karthik Ghattamaneni is the cinematographer.
