People who are well versed with Rohit Shetty’s filmography knows that he caters to a certain section of the audience and doesn’t give a qualm about what critics or others may think. That is mainly the reason behind his successful career. Whether it is a complete comedy film or an action flick, he aims to bring out the cheers and whistles from the masses.
His action films like ‘Singham’, ‘Singham Returns’, ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Simmba’ were massive hits and so are his logicless comedy movies like ‘Golmaal’, ‘Golmaal 2’, ‘Golmaal 3’, ‘Golmaal 4’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Bol Bachchan’, ‘Dilwale’ and others. Adding to this list, he is bringing ‘Cirkus’ which is set in the backdrop of the ’60s. Ranveer Singh will be seen playing a double role while comedian Varun Sharma also plays two roles. Glamorous beauties Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez are the heroines in this project.
The trailer came out and it promises a fun-filled film with zero logic. This is the kind of film that you enjoy without thinking a lot. The teaser is three and a half minutes long but it does not reveal much about the story. Ranveer’s wife and star actress Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance in a song that attracts everyone and Rohit Shetty seems to have linked ‘Cirkus’ to ‘Golmaal’ franchise somehow.
Produced and directed by Rohit Shetty, this movie has a huge list of noted actors like Johny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Varun Sharma, Mukesh Tiwari, Vrajesh Hirjee, Siddharth Jadhav, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, Murli Sharma, Tiku Talsania, Radhika Bangia, Brijendra Kala, Saurabh Gokhale, Ashish Warang, Umakant Patil and Uday Tikekar. The movie is all set to hit the screens on 23rd December. With a successful track record, let us see how much ‘Cirkus’ earns at the box office.
