Jonathan Majors Claims That He Watched ‘RRR’ Multiple Times!

After the department of Thanos at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in dire need of a major villain who is a huge threat to all the new-gen superheroes they are assembling. After making a brief appearance in the popular series ‘Loki’, the character of ‘Kang the Conqueror’ is making his entry onto the big screen with ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantunmaina’ as the menacing antagonist of the new Marvel era. It is being played by Jonathan Majors.

The prolific actor has been taking part in the promotions of the movie and he was asked if he watches Indian films. He said ‘Yes’ and when asked if he saw Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’, this is what he had to say, “Did I watch RRR? I watched it multiple times, and that says a lot because it’s a three-hour-long film! I enjoyed the experience and I really loved watching both the actors (Jr NTR and Ram Charan) on screen.” Majors even said that he is open to recommendations for Indian films to watch.

Talking about taking over from Thanos as the main bad guy, Jonathan Mayors said, “Well, Thanos is massive in size. Kang is only 6 ft 1 in. So, it’s an unfair comparison. If you ask Thanos to get into Kang’s shoes, then that will be a difficult situation I reckon. But honestly, I thank god for Thanos. Anyone who watches films is grateful for the contribution that Thanos made to the cinematic experience and, chiefly, what Josh Brolin (who played Thanos) could achieve with the character. He made the character legendary. So much, in fact, that Thanos’ mythology has pressed long past his phase. That’s a really great thing.”

He further added, “It’s really motivating for me to know the kind of impact that the big-bad position in the MCU has. Like Thanos, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki had a solid impact and character arc. We’ve watched him go from being the villain, to being a superhero along with a phase of ambivalence when you couldn’t tell which of the two he really was. So, I think the opportunity to step in the big-bad position is a great thing. As for the comparison between Thanos and Kang, I humbly say that I am happy about it. I invite it, because Kang is only here because Thanos was. But Kang’s here now and hopefully he can continue the legacy.”
