Mega Power Star Ram Charan has had an eventful week in the US. It all started with a Good Morning America debut, followed by an ABC News interview in which the much-loved Telugu hero spoke proudly of ‘RRR’, SS Rajamouli, and the globally-renowned dance-off ‘Naatu Naatu’. He also spoke of his interest to do crossover movies. He was at the HCA Awards ceremony where ‘RRR’ won a bunch of awards.
Recently, renowned businessman Anand Mahindra called him a ‘Global’ Star’ and he is getting a lot of love from the international audience these days. Feeling excited for his ‘Racha’ hero, director Sampath Nandi took to Twitter and wrote, “A decade ago when I was writing the intro seq for Ram Charan in Racha, lyricist Chandrabose anna rightly came up with the term ‘Global Star’. Today the entire world is calling him so. Coincidentally, Chandra Bose Anna n #PremRakshit who choreographed Racha title song are part of @RRRMovie’s triumph too. So happy n proud of our work back then n their phenomenal success today. Good luck for Oscars.”
After looking at the tweet, Mega fans on Twitter started requesting their hero to do another movie with Sampath Nandi as he knows how to please the fans. A lot of such tweets have been doing rounds on social media. This is quite unusual as ‘Racha’ is one of the most average movies in Charan’s career. Despite its commercial success, the routine story and the monotonous treatment along with stuffing of unnecessary mass dialogues made the film a stereotypical mass masala entertainer.
Ram Charan is a huge star who cannot go back to doing such movies at this point of his career. He has to be very careful on what kind of scripts he picks up. But the fans putting forward such demands is quite appalling.
