Siddharth is a name that brings back so many memories. He is the lover boy of the 2000s and his movies like ‘Bommarillu’, ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana’, ‘Oy’, ‘Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam’ and others are some of the best rom-coms of the last few decades. He had a huge following among girls and he is a great actor as well. But continuous flops made him fade away in Tollywood. He tried to make a comeback recently with ‘Maha Samudram’ but it failed badly.
Now, he is arriving with a Telugu-Tamil romantic action entertainer titled ‘Takkar’. Directed by Karthik G Krish, ‘Majili’ fame Divyansha Kaushik is playing the heroine’s role in the movie. ‘Takkar’ is jointly produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal under People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts in collaboration with Passion Studios. On the occasion of the ‘Aata’ hero’s birthday, the makers released the movie’s teaser and gives us a glimpse of what to expect.
The teaser takes us through the highs and lows in the relationship between a poor boy and a rich girl. While the guy is a hard-core romantic, the girl, despite liking him, claims she doesn’t believe in the idea of love and marriage. It looks like she has commitment issues and Siddharth on the other hand looks quite aggressive during fight sequences. The chemistry between the lead pair is palpable and their romance is going to be a delight to watch onscreen.
Apart from the intimate scenes, we can see when having conversations about topics ranging from gender equality to money. Several action sequences are interspersed with their romance segments, hinting at some danger for the duo. Siddharth looks quite good in the new look and he is not going to age anytime soon. Divyansha looks stunning and she is going to set screens on fire with her beauty this time. While Siddharth is familiar to audiences with his lover-boy image, Takkar presents the badass-side to the star. The makers confirmed the release date and ‘Takkar’ is going to arrive on 26th May.
Nivas K Prasanna scores the music. Vanchinathan Murugesan cranks the camera and GA Gowtham is the editor. Abimanyu Singh, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth, RJ Vigneshkanth play other important roles in the film. Let us see if Siddharth gets a hit through ‘Takkar’ or not.
