Telugu Desam Party founder NTR’s centenary celebrations were held in Andhra Pradesh the other day. Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth graced the celebrations as the chief guest. He was received by Nandamuri Balakrishna at the Vijayawada Airport. Thalaiva remembered his fond memories with the late NTR on the occasion.
But Rajinikanth’s comments on Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu raised many eyeballs. Calling CBN a visionary leader, Rajinikanth said that Cyberabad is an example of his vision. He also said that Chandrababu can make Andhra Pradesh the number one state in the country.
The Superstar praising Chandrababu Naidu did not go well with the ruling YSRCP and he became the target of the party leaders. One after the other, the leaders are coming out and giving strong counters to the star. After Ambati Rambabu and Tourism Minister Roja, another leader joined the row.
Former Minister Kodali Nani expressed his dissatisfaction with Rajinikanth. He asked how the star hero can praise Chandrababu Naidu and stoop too low. The firebrand leader even said that Rajinikanth is reading the script written by someone else which is sad.
Talking about the Viceroy Hotel incident, Kodali Nani alleged that Rajinikanth supported Chandrababu Naidu when slippers were hurled at NTR and now he is praising NTR. How can he do that? What has he done for NTR when he was alive? Rajinikanth is losing his image, Kodali Nani said.
Kodali Nani also said that Rajinikanth was brought into the picture by Chandrababu Naidu to blackmail Pawan Kalyan and it is high time Pawan Kalyan should understand the politics of Chandrababu Naidu, he said. However, he did not give the exact reason how Pawan Kalyan can be blackmailed with Rajinikanth.
Since yesterday an old picture is doing rounds on social media which shows Rajinikanth with Telugu Desam Party leaders including Chandrababu Naidu. It is said that the picture was clicked when Chandrababu took over the TDP from the founder chief NTR. Now Kodali Nani is saying the same.
It appears that Rajinikanth’s comments on Chandrababu Naidu will not settle any time soon. TDP’s arch-rival YSRCP which is in power is unable to take this and the party leaders are hitting back at the superstar.
