Fahadh Faasil Faces Human Rights Inquiry

Fahadh Faasil, the Malayalam superstar whose menacing “Pushpa” villain role left audiences yelling “Party leda Pushpa,” is facing a new kind of action – a Human Rights Commission inquiry. While Faasil is known for delivering blockbusters like “Avesham” and producing successful films, his latest project, “Premalu,” has landed him in hot water.

The controversy stems from the film’s shooting at the Angamaly Taluk Government Hospital. Allegations surfaced that the production crew, led by Faasil’s company Fahadh Faasil and Friends, filmed in the casualty ward without proper permission, causing distress to patients. The Ernakulam District Medical Officer confirmed the shoot but claimed it was authorized.

However, the Human Rights Commission isn’t convinced. They’ve demanded an explanation from Faasil’s company, while patients expressed frustration at being denied access to the emergency room during filming. The producers maintain they followed protocol and secured permission, but the Kerala Human Rights Association has filed a suo motu case against Faasil. Now, the actor-producer waits to see if the Kerala film industry’s hero will become the villain in this real-life drama.
