Rakul’s Brother Behind Bars In Drugs Case?

A significant drug seizure has occurred near Rajendra Nagar in Hyderabad, India. Authorities confiscated approximately 200 grams of cocaine, estimated to hold a street value of at least 2 crore rupees (approximately $250,000 USD). The sensational aspect of this case involves Amanpreet Singh, brother of prominent actress Rakul Preet Singh, who has been identified as a potential buyer in the operation.

Working collaboratively, a team comprised of Rajendra Nagar Police and Narcotics officials reportedly apprehended Amanpreet Singh during a transaction involving five Nigerian nationals suspected of drug trafficking. News outlets, including NTV, have indicated that Singh, along with a businessman, were taken into custody for further questioning.

This arrest comes amidst past investigations involving Rakul Preet Singh herself. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had previously questioned her on multiple occasions in connection with alleged drug use and money laundering. In 2021, she was summoned by the ED in Mumbai to address suspicions regarding her connections to a drug racket and certain financial transactions. It is important to note that none of these allegations were ever proven, and Rakul Preet Singh continued pursuing her acting career.

Further scrutiny arose in September 2021 when the ED questioned her again in Hyderabad concerning a local drug case. Notably, Rakul Preet Singh has since married Bollywood producer Jackky Bhagnani.

With Amanpreet Singh’s recent arrest on suspicion of purchasing drugs, the spotlight has inevitably returned to the actress and her brother. The full ramifications of this arrest and its potential connection to Rakul Preet Singh remain unclear. Law enforcement officials are expected to continue their investigation in the coming days.
