Tensions Rise in Rajya Sabha as YSRCP MP Accuses TDP of Coercive Tactics in Andhra Pradesh

In a significant development in the Rajya Sabha today, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Member of Parliament, Vijay Sai Reddy, raised serious allegations against the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), accusing it of employing coercive and inducive tactics to lure YSRCP leaders into its fold. During the oath-taking ceremony of new Rajya Sabha MPs Sana Satish, Beeda Mastan Rao, and R Krishnaiah, Reddy used the platform to claim that the TDP had conspired to bring several YSRCP leaders into its party through political pressures and temptations.

Reddy’s remarks suggested that these actions were part of a broader effort by the TDP to destabilize the YSRCP’s position in the state. He emphasized that such tactics had been employed to influence key leaders, a move he described as a direct threat to the democratic process in Andhra Pradesh. The accusations included claims of political inducements and coercion, which Reddy argued undermined the integrity of political leadership in the state.
