Chandrababu Naidu’s Enhanced Security Amid Elevated Naxal Threat

Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is one of the most heavily secured politicians in India, a status largely due to the 2004 Alipiri incident and the ongoing threat from Naxal groups. In light of these risks, his security protocols have been consistently strengthened.

In the latest development, the Special Security Group (SSG), which oversees his security, has allocated additional personnel to further enhance his protection. Alongside the usual NSG commandos, who maintain a constant close presence, several elite security teams have been deployed.

In particular, the Chief Minister now enjoys a multi-layered security arrangement. On top of the NSG and SSG commandos already assigned to him, an extra layer of protection includes local police forces and six specially trained counter action units. These units are specifically focused on responding to potential threats quickly and efficiently.

The elevated security measures reflect the increased danger posed by Naxal elements, making it crucial for the CM’s safety to be further reinforced, especially during his recent trip to Visakhapatnam (Vizag).
