Chandrababu Naidu Reflects on Sankranti Tradition and Return to Hometown


Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has extended his warm wishes to the Telugu community on the occasion of Sankranti. In his message, he shared the personal significance of celebrating the festival in his hometown, revealing the deeper reason behind his annual visit.

Chandrababu emphasized that Sankranti holds great cultural and spiritual importance for the Telugu people, and it is a time best spent in the company of loved ones and close friends, in one’s hometown. He highlighted the importance of nurturing human connections through personal interactions during the festival season.

“My wife, Bhuvaneshwari, was the one who first encouraged me to visit NaravariPalle during Sankranti,” Chandrababu shared. “She believed that celebrating the festival in my hometown would help strengthen local bonds and foster a sense of unity. Over time, this tradition became deeply ingrained in me, and now, I make it a point to travel to NaravariPalle with my family each year.”

He revealed that this practice of returning to his hometown every Sankranti began over 25 years ago and has become a cherished experience that enriches his life.

After enduring a challenging period over the last five years under Jagan’s leadership, Chandrababu is returning to NaravariPalle as the Chief Minister for the first time since 2019, marking a significant moment in both his personal and political journey.
