AP Leaders Prioritize Development, End CM and DCM Speculation

In just seven months since the formation of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, CM Chandrababu Naidu has been working tirelessly to rebuild the state’s social and economic structures. His presence at the World Economic Forum in Davos is part of his ongoing efforts to attract investments to the state.

Amidst this, there has been growing speculation about the possibility of Nara Lokesh becoming the Deputy Chief Minister. This proposal, initially brought up by Mahasena Rajesh and later echoed by several others, including TG Bharath, has been a hot topic. Bharath, in particular, spoke about Lokesh being the right choice for the CM position during a speech at the NRI TDP wing event in Davos.

Despite the focus on rebuilding Andhra Pradesh, much of the conversation has shifted to the positions of Chief Minister and Deputy CM. However, both Janasena and Telugu Desam Party have now stepped in to curb this unnecessary chatter. Yesterday, the TDP instructed its media representatives and leaders not to engage in discussions about these positions. Following suit, Janasena issued a similar directive, urging its leaders not to comment or post about these matters on social media.

This timely intervention underscores the critical focus needed on the state’s reconstruction rather than internal power struggles. Both Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan have made it clear that Andhra Pradesh’s welfare is their top priority, with Lokesh even hinting at stepping down from the cabinet in the future to make room for others. Pawan Kalyan has reiterated his willingness to work under Chandrababu’s leadership for as long as needed. Now is not the time for divisive talk about leadership positions that could harm the state’s progress.
