Chandrababu Naidu Receives Invitation from Singapore Deputy PM at Davos

After five years, Andhra Pradesh finally has a significant presence at the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos. The state’s representation is led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, who are managing the AP Pavilion and making important strides for the state.

Chandrababu, with his vast experience, has been efficiently handling the engagements. He had a packed schedule yesterday, starting with a crucial meeting with global business magnate Bill Gates, where they discussed potential investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. Following this, the Chief Minister met with Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister, Gan Kim Yong. During this meeting, an interesting development occurred—Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister extended an invitation to Chandrababu to visit the country, a gesture made in goodwill.

Chandrababu took to Twitter to express his gratitude, saying, “Delighted to meet the Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, Mr. Gan Kim Yong, in Davos today. I thank the Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister for the kind invitation to visit Singapore and look forward to the opportunity.”

This invitation holds significance, especially considering Chandrababu’s earlier plans to integrate Singapore’s development model into the city of Amaravati. The Singapore government had even developed a structural plan for the city, underscoring the strong relationship between the two. The invitation from the Deputy Prime Minister is a clear indication that this visionary approach has left a lasting impression on the Singaporean leadership.
