Telangana Secures ₹1.32 Lakh Crore in Investments at WEF 2025


Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is currently attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, where he is actively engaging with representatives from global tech and auto giants to secure investments for the state. Revanth’s efforts at the WEF have already yielded impressive results, with Telangana signing multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for investments totaling a remarkable Rs 71,800 crore. These investments are set to create thousands of jobs and boost the state’s economy.

Some of the key agreements made so far include ₹45,500 Cr from Sun Petro Chemicals, creating 7,000 jobs, ₹15,000 Cr from Megha Engineering, generating 4,250 jobs, and ₹10,000 Cr from CtrlS, leading to 3,600 jobs. Other investments include ₹800 Cr from JSW, with 200 jobs, ₹500 Cr from Skyroot Aerospace, and Unilever’s decision to establish two manufacturing units in the state.

The big highlight came this morning when Amazon Web Services pledged a massive ₹60,000 crore investment to develop cloud infrastructure in Telangana by 2030. Additionally, other major investments include ₹15,000 Cr by Tillman for a 300 MW Data Center in Hyderabad, ₹5,000 Cr by Ursa Clusters for a 100 MW AI Data Hub using hybrid AI chips, ₹7,000 Cr by Akshat Greentech for a 6.9 GW Solar Cells & Modules unit, and ₹4,500 Cr by Blackstone for a 150 MW Data Center with advanced cooling and AI support.

In total, Telangana has secured investments worth ₹1.32 lakh crore at the WEF this year, making it the largest-ever investment tally for the state. While these investments are still in the agreement phase and depend on the finalization of terms, the commitments are a significant achievement for Revanth Reddy and the state of Telangana, showcasing his strong presence and influence on the global stage.
